Accidents

It's been a long week, but right now I'm trying to rest yet very bored, so I figured this was my best solution :)
Monday was fine, the usual, work and then more work (I have two jobs currently! I know, crazy.) But Tuesday was the day that slowed me down. After work I had to pick up my babies, which is unusual because they are always at home, just so happens Natalie needed to bring them to the drop in as she had a dr appt. So on the way home, I get rear ended at the off ramp near my house. Long story short everyone is ok (my back is killing me) and our insurance company is arguing with the drivers insurance company trying to get this all figured out. It is $1400 worth of damage to my vehicle, I need two new car seats, and a rental car until mine is fixed. I don't really think it is too much to ask for his negligence. Hopefully they get that figured out tomorrow so I can bring the car in on Monday.
Since then, I have been pretty much laid up on pain killers trying to give my back a rest. I am hoping that I feel better tomoorw as I have some big projects to get done, and I have to look at a daycare.

Medora

A few weekends ago we traveled to Medora, ND for....well...whatever it is people do there :)
Only, we didn't do what I think normal people do, we wern't into the little shops, and we didn't go see the musical. In fact, we didn't look at the old houses, or go on tours, we didn't catch any fish, and we didn't dress up in old clothing and have our pictures taken.
Instead, we crashed at the outdoor pool at the hotel (heaven), we played with the kids at a playground area in Medora (probably the best play area I have ever seen), the boys went mini-golfing, we climbed some steep trails to the top of a "hill" (or eh, mini mountain!) and cruised through the national park (which was by far probably the best part!).
One thing we did do that about 700 others were doing as well as the pitchfork fondue. For $25 per person, you can get a steak filled with oil, a baked potato and some coleslaw. Don't care for steak? get the buffet ($13.50 per person) and just have a potato and some beans--this is all I got since you can only walk through once, and I was pushing a stroller and not about to spill! For Benjamin he just wanted a hot dog...$13.50. for a stinkin hotdog-on the website it says $6.00, this was not the case for us-we had to shell out the big bucks for that dog. It was a royal RIPOFF and the steak was absolutely apalling- who wants an oil drenched steak? gross. Save yourself some money and have a picnic in the state park. You will get the same view. Promise.
Or even better, go to the chuckwagon buffet in town. Wonderful food-there was a choice of brisket, ribs, potatoes, veggies, fish, juices, milk and more. And more important, the volunteers are the sweetest you will meet anywhere.

Ok, end of my rant. I would go back and do it again, but would definitely change it up. I would spend more time in the state park and at the outdoor pool, and I would try to get in some fishing on the creek, some more mini-golf, and perhaps catch the muscial. Maybe this fall.

Birthday Planning

November seems to be coming up on me pretty quick.
I still havn't decided a date or activities, but I have decided that our theme for the little Munkins 2nd birthday will be...what else...MONKEYS!

So I'm on a search to find the perfect Monkey cake....
ugh. thats the worst part. perfect cake.

even perfect dress is easier than that!
